The Copywriting Edge was founded in 2019 in the Loire Valley, France. What started as a solo freelance operation has grown into a focused, intentional team of four professionals who care about one thing above all else: writing copy that gets results for our clients.

Our Story

We did not set out to build a large agency. We set out to build something dependable — a team small enough to give every project personal attention, and experienced enough to deliver work that competes with agencies five times our size.

Our founder spent several years working in-house for a B2B software company in Lyon before going independent. The frustration was always the same: marketing teams were producing content at volume, but very little of it was written with the reader's actual decision-making process in mind. Headlines were clever but vague. Product pages described features instead of outcomes. Email campaigns talked at people instead of to them.

The Copywriting Edge exists to fix that specific problem. We write copy that starts with the reader — what they already know, what they are worried about, what they need to hear before they will trust you enough to take the next step.

Since 2019 we have worked with over 140 brands across France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Scandinavia, and beyond. Our clients range from solo coaches launching their first course to SaaS companies managing seven-figure annual revenue. The common thread is this: they came to us because their existing copy was not pulling its weight, and they left with messaging that worked harder than anything they had tried before.

We are based remotely across France, and we work during Central European business hours. Every project includes a dedicated project manager so nothing slips through the cracks.

How We Work

Every project follows the same core process: discover, strategize, write, refine. We start with research because guessing what your audience wants to hear is a waste of everyone's time. We continue with strategy because structure matters as much as the words themselves. We write with precision because clarity converts. And we refine until the copy is ready for publication — not just good enough, but right.

We work remotely and communicate primarily through email, shared documents, and scheduled video calls. Every client has a dedicated project manager who handles timelines, feedback, and delivery logistics. You will never have to chase us for an update.

Our standard working hours are 9:00 to 18:00 CET, Monday through Friday. We respond to client messages within one business day.
